Is HAZECO the same as HESCO?

No — they are completely different. HAZECO = Hazara Electric Supply Company in KPK (Abbottabad, Mansehra etc.). HESCO = Hyderabad Electric Supply Company in Sindh. The names look almost identical but the regions are over 1,500 km apart. If your bill says HESCO, use our HESCO page; if it says HAZECO, you're in the right place.

I was previously a PESCO consumer — am I now under HAZECO?

Yes, if you live in Hazara Division (Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Haripur, Kohistan, Tor Ghar). Until 2022 these districts were billed by PESCO. After the split, all Hazara consumers were transferred to HAZECO. Your reference number may have changed — check the top of your latest bill: it now says HAZECO instead of PESCO.

Before 2022 — PESCO

Hazara Division was billed and serviced by PESCO (Peshawar Electric Supply Company), the same DISCO that covered all of KPK.

2022 Onwards — HAZECO

Hazara split off into its own DISCO — HAZECO. All Hazara consumers were migrated. Your bills now say HAZECO, and may carry a refreshed reference number — always check the latest paper bill.
