Where Is the 14-Digit Reference Number on Your Bill?

Exact Location on the Bill

On almost every Pakistani electricity bill, the reference number is printed in the top-right corner, just below the DISCO logo and consumer address block. It is labeled "Reference No." or "Ref No.".

DISCO Differences

All DISCOs follow the same 14-digit format, but placement and surrounding labels can differ slightly. The first few digits encode the regional sub-division code; the remaining digits are the consumer ID.

Don't Confuse It With…

Meter Number

Printed on the physical electricity meter, usually 7–11 digits. Not used for online bill view.

Consumer / Account Number

Usually 10 digits, used internally by the DISCO for record-keeping.

K-Number

Used by K-Electric in Karachi only — not part of the PITC system.
